Guess I am turning out to be quite a Gandhi. But mainly what I want to keep for myself is that it does not say don't destroy your enemy. If you are skillful and smart you would have mostly figured out how to defeat your enemy - if you are courageous then you would be confident about defeating the enemy, and if you can take death and defeat in your stride then you can't be possibly hate anyone, even your enemy. It just becomes someone you love to spar with.
And if you can love then first of all it will likely throw your enemy off balance, and you are more likely to be calm and in that calm you will be able to see the enemy's weaknesses clearly. Likes and dislikes are always something that makes us vulnerable, which should not be confused with calm observation and fighting with fun and skill.
